Our Mission

Every Greyhound
Deserves a Second Chance

When a racing greyhound suffers a career-ending injury, their future hangs in the balance. We partner directly with race tracks to rescue these gentle athletes and give them the medical care, rehabilitation, and loving homes they deserve.

Through our unique collaboration with Ohio State University students, we provide comprehensive rehabilitation — from surgery recovery to foster placement — ensuring every hound gets the chance to become a beloved companion.

Buckeyes for
Greyhounds & K-9s

The student club at Ohio State University is the heart of our rehabilitation program. These dedicated students handle every aspect of a greyhound's journey from track to foster home.

  • Transport from race tracks to the hospital
  • De-worming, cat testing, and micro-chipping
  • Providing collars and leads for each hound
  • Finding and vetting foster families
  • Coordinating follow-up medical care and appointments

Be Part of the Rescue

Whether you open your home as a foster, spread the word, or simply cheer us on, every contribution helps these gentle souls find their way to a loving family.

Foster a Greyhound

Open your home to a recovering greyhound. Foster families provide the love and stability these dogs need while they heal and await adoption.

Spread the Word

Share our mission with friends, family, and your community. Awareness is the first step toward saving more hounds from uncertain futures.

Volunteer

From transport assistance to event support, there are many ways to lend a hand. Contact us to learn about opportunities near you.

“A greyhound's racing career may end, but their journey to love is just beginning.”
